Very early in the morning of the First Day of the Week, Mary of Magdala announced to the disciples that the stone has been removed from the entrance of the tomb where Jesus’ body was laid. And immediately the two disciples closest to the heart of Jesus rushed to the tomb. They found Mary’s news real. They took notice not only of the empty tomb, but the clothes that were left behind — materials that carry the marks of the past but speak also of the future the Master has always expressed.
